James is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. He has been at CIAT for over 20 years. He leads and oversees all management aspects of the Membership Department aligned to the Institute’s aims and objectives within the Strategic and Corporate Plans including engagement, promotion, collaboration, recruitment, joining, qualifying, benefits, retention, specialist registers (including Principal Designer, CIAT Accredited Conservationist and Chartered Environmentalist) and currency of standards.

Sam's academic career and his work and impact on the discipline of AT and CIAT continues to be immeasurable and cannot be cited in entirety here. In brief, he is currently, Professor Emeritus - Edinburgh Napier University; Associate Lecturer on Grad & Post-Grad courses. A selection of his papers can be found here

Sam also represents CIAT on a number of committees and is currently leading the Membership Futures Project.

Dan Rossiter FCIAT is an active supporter of the built environment sector, both nationally and internationally. Nationally, Dan provides digital transformation thought leadership at the British Standards Institution (BSI) where he also provides subject matter expertise to several national committees relating to information management, technical documentation, and terminology.  Outside of BSI Dan is Vice-President Technical for CIAT, contributes to several sector working groups, and is an ambassador for nima. Internationally, Dan convenes CEN and ISO terminology as well as strategy working groups relating to the digital transformation of the built environment.

Gareth is a Fellow Chartered Member of CIAT.  He has over 36 years’ experience in computer aided design (CAD); Information Technology and Building Information Modelling (BIM). In his current role at Purcell, Gareth looks at emerging technologies and how these can be implemented on historical and heritage projects to bring results driven information to clients to enable better solutions for their projects. Focussing on key areas around sustainability, and the ability to enhance information around carbon and energy usage.  Gareth sees that use of BIM and associated technology as a key factor in ensuring the built environment responds to the climate emergency now facing all of us.

He is regularly invited to speak at industry events and is a recognised leader in the use of BIM in the construction industry. 

Spacy brings specific focus and exceptional expertise in the development and implementation of comprehensive asset data standards. Her commitment ensures strict adherence to industry regulations, leading to enhanced overall data consistency and seamless integration of operations across MTVH. Collaborating closely with the organization's Asset Management Leaders, industry specialists, and experts from various disciplines, Spacy takes the lead in formulating and implementing Asset Data Standards and Quality Assurance measures. Spacy's efforts are directed toward facilitating the specialist directorates in the optimization of revenue structures, strategic planning for capital improvements, and ensuring the efficient lifecycle operations of buildings.

Spacy is interested in repurposing redundant structures into flexible and adaptive systems and how these can efficiently respond to future social and economic challenges. 

Undisciplined & unconventional Leader Ann is a distinguished Chartered Architectural Technologist (FCIAT), a registered architect (ARB), and a Living Future Accredited Professional (LFA). As a founder of Healing Buildings, she is dedicated to pioneering a holistic approach to architecture that integrates restorative design principles.
